Tampa International Airport - Ranked the top airport in the nation by frequent travelers for its easy in/out design, Tampa International Airport offers over 275 direct flights daily through 25 major airlines, and is located 30 minutes (26 miles) from the resort via the interstate highways. The Official Airport Guide Worldwide recognized Tampa as one of the top five airports in the world, while Business Traveler Magazine ranked the airport among its favorites in North America. In July 2005, they were awarded the Global Airport Efficiency Excellence Award. Terminals are linked by monorail, and passengers walk a maximum of only five gates to their departing planes.
